CCM VERAX INFORMATION BULLETIN For Immediate Release Date: 21 November 2001 Title: CCM VERAX PUBLICIZES ELCA ECUMENICAL GRAND DECEPTION Research to be published in January of 2002 and an accompanying web site show that members of the Evangelical Lutheran Church in America (ELCA) have been misled on a scale unprecedented in North American Christianity. In what is arguably the greatest act of deception ever cultivated by a church denomination in the history of North America, research is now coming to light that shows that the ecumenical agreement between the ELCA and the Episcopal Church in the USA, known as Called to Common Mission (CCM), was built upon knowingly false claims. What sort of deception is this? Basically, CCM says that the Lutheran statements of faith (Lutheran Confessions) mention the Lutheran Reformers' "deep desire" to have bishops like the Episcopal Church. However, research published in 1995 (four years before the ELCA passed CCM) shows this claim to be wholly incorrect. Furthermore, one of the ELCA's CCM drafters boasts that he knew of this research since it was published in 1995. (Full details of this research are on the Internet through the link below.) You may find it difficult to believe the above statements. As unbelievable as they seem, they are true. I have read the evidence myself. Please take some time to read the facts for yourself. A church that does not tell the truth to its members also cannot witness credibly to Jesus Christ as the way, the truth, and the life.
